Precision and efficiency
Core drilling is a precise and effective method for taking geotechnical samples of solid materials such as limestone, moraine clay, rock, concrete, stone and asphalt, which is essential for determining the geotechnical conditions.
With the help of a specialized core drilling machine equipped with a diamond-studded core drill bit, the core drilling can be carried out so that intact soil samples can be taken.
What makes Greenland and the northern hemisphere unique?
The drilling work in Greenland is seasonal. It takes place during the summer term, and thus it is not possible to extend or postpone an assignment. Transport, planning and diligence are the keys to making it a success. When we live and work in Greenland and other remote parts of the Nordic region, it is often 24 hours a day and in multiple shifts. It is important to take advantage of the limited time the Northern Hemisphere gives us.
We have Danish drillers with more than 30 years of experience, and with more than 11 seasons in Greenland, we are one of the most experienced companies to do this job.

During the summer of 2023, we will drill 5000 m of core drilling with the deepest drilling at 1100 m. Two drilling rigs distributed over 49 drilling days – 24 hours a day.

We carry out both normal geotechnics and core drilling in Denmark, but we also help in special areas. We know that getting permits and approvals in place requires good and proper planning.
