Respect for our climate and each other is a top priority
At Nordisk Fundering, we strive to work efficiently by optimizing our work processes, machinery, and materials. In addition, we measure our CO2 footprint before, during, and after our projects.
We believe that solutions within special foundations can be made more gently and reduce the burden on the climate and environment, and we are constantly on the lookout for new workflows and building materials that demonstrate both quality and responsibility.
We also believe that our employees are the most important resource at Nordisk Fundering. Therefore, we aim for a workplace with great diversity, room for diversity and a sharp focus on personal and professional development.

Climate in focus before, during and after
At Nordisk Fundering, we can document our precise climate footprint in scope 1 and 2 as well as consumption on the construction site. We can do this because we make CO2 calculations on all our projects before the work has even started, and we make ongoing follow-ups during the work process.
We constantly work to reduce our waste of materials and consider recycling already in the initial planning – this applies to all materials, from their design to the recycling of sheetrock.
When we optimize our projects, there is less waste, and fewer costs are cheaper. It’s common sense.
Diversity produces better results
Our industry is traditionally dominated by men. At Nordic Fundering, we want to increase diversity.
We experience very positive effects from having women both in management and among the hourly employees. We also find that the dynamics improve when there is a mix of employees with different ages, genders, and educational backgrounds.
The diversity provides a good dynamic, because we see our projects from several angles and approach the tasks with greater creativity. This is something we are focusing on going forward.

Governance
Job satisfaction, development and a healthy environment
We are proud of our strong team, which consists of happy employees who have very low sickness absence. This is how we want it to continue to be, and we therefore try to set the framework for a good everyday life with meaning and at the same time reduce the risk from stress.
We work a lot with personal development in everyday life, which can be done because we have a flat organization among our eight salaried employees and 25 hourly employees. We hold MUS interviews with six-monthly follow-up, 1:1 interviews and once a year our chairman of the board has interviews with the hourly employees.
We often divide the hourly employees into groups and talk about the various challenges that are in everyday life on the construction site. It provides a lot of informal conversations with the possibility of sharing knowledge.
